The NGO “Markazi Dastgirii Jamoati Vorukh” aims to protect the civil, economic, social and cultural rights and freedoms of citizens, living in Isfara district, improving their social and economic living conditions and promote gender equality.
The organization was founded 2003 and mainly implements projects to raise awareness of the citizens about domestic violence and violent extremism with focus on youth. “Markazi Dastgirii Jamoati Vorukh” conducts activities to mobilize community efforts to solve social problems and to restore the social infrastructure.
The NGO is member of the Fergana Valley NGO Network “Dolina Mira” - "The Valley of Peace" (www.dolinamira.org). Within the framework of the network, the organization cooperates with other NGOs from Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. Markazi Dastgirii Jamoati Vorukh works with state actors as well as with other local civil society organizations and conducts projects with support of international agencies and donors UNDP, OSCE, DRC and the UK Embassy in the field of
- Improving the social and economic living conditions of citizens (creating jobs and increase income; advice for founding business)
- Improving the role of women in the community and gender equality
- Preventing Radicalization that lead to Extremism (youth camp with participants from Tajikistan and Kirgizstan; theater plays; sport and cultural events)
