PUBLIC ORGANIZATION "IMDODI GAIRAT"

About PO: Public organization "Imdodi Gairat" was established in January 2016 and registered in the Department of Justice of Sughd region under number №391. It was re-registered in the Ministry of Justice of Tajikistan on 18 November 2020 under number №1808B.  This Organization has a branch in the Konibodom city.

Mission: The main activities of “Imdodi Gairat” are:

• Assisting low-income and vulnerable citizens in realization of their rights to education, labor, health and social care, social security and aid.
• Providing education for the rural population, women and girls, persons with disability about the rights, capacities and ways to realize their necessities and self-realization according to the standards and regulations prescribed in the national legislation,
• Informing about the ways of transmission and prevention of tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS infection, working with HIV infected persons to ensure their access to medical services, protection and realization of their rights.

Projects implemented by "Imdodi Gairat" in 2016-2020:

1. "Assisting Persons Living with HIV/AIDS" project in accessing basic services and changing societal attitudes towards men and women with HIV/AIDS in Konibodom city.
2. The "Green Line" project was implemented in 2017, with financial support from the European Union.
3. "Empowerment of Vulnerable Communities" was implemented with the financial support of Central Asia Foundation-Tajikistan and USAID.
4. Project on "Improving the effectiveness of extracurricular education activity centers by involving children and youth with disabilities" with the support of USAID.
5. Project on construction of "Day care center for development of children with disabilities" in Konobodom, with the financial support of the Embassy of Japan and local executive authority of Konibodom city. 
6. Project on construction of "Day care center for development of children with disabilities" in Khujand, with the financial support of the Embassy of Japan and local executive authority of Khujand city.
7. Project "Prevention of Domestic Violence and Violent Extremism" in Konibodom city with the support of the US Embassy in Tajikistan.
8. The project "English Access Micro-Scholarship Programme", 2018-2020, English language training for 24 students with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan.
9. The project "English Access Micro-Scholarship Programme", 2019-2021, English language training for 25 students with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan.  

The project "Safety of Pregnant Women Living with HIV and Infants of PLHIV" with financial support from the Dutch non-profit organization AFEW International Foundation.
