The NGO Javononi Peshsaf aims to enhance the role of women and youth in the process of peace building and prevention of domestic violence and violent extremism (VE).
The organization was founded 2014 and is based in Panjakent. Javononi Peshsafs works with state actors as well as with other local civil society organizations and acts as a link between law enforcement agencies and civil society.
The NGO is member of “Global Partnership of the Prevention of Armed Conflict” (GPPAC), “Strong Cities Network” and "Central Asian Network for Countering and Preventing Violent Extremism" of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Javononi Peshsaf conducts projects with support of international agencies and donors such as UNDP, USAID, US Embassy and the EU in the field of
- Awareness raising about domestic violence and radicalization/violent extremism (Information campaigns in public and schools: Theater play “Life is only Given Once”, Movie “100-regrets from Syria”)
- Connecting different actors (religious, state, civil society) on the topic of preventing domestic violence and VE
- Strengthening legal literacy and providing legal support to youth and families
