Tajikistan’s Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs convened a meeting to review the state and its stakeholders’ actions on countering terrorism and prevention of violent extremism on 26 May in Dushanbe. The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe supported the organization of the meeting, which brought together 50 representatives from local ministries, government agencies and international stakeholders. The participants discussed the issues of countering terrorism and violent extremism, the newly-established Inter-Agency Secretariat on the implementation of Tajikistan’s ‘National Strategy and Action Plan on Countering Extremism and Terrorism and the rehabilitation/reintegration of individuals repatriated from the conflict zones, including women and children.
