For the purpose of further strengthening the national security, protecting the constitutional order and safeguarding citizens’ rights, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has approved a new Strategy for the Prevention of Extremism and Terrorism in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2040, as well as an Action Plan for its implementation for 2026–2030.
The new Strategy has been developed taking into account contemporary challenges and threats, trends in the field of radicalization, as well as international experience in the prevention of extremism and the fight against terrorism. The document sets out the priority areas of state policy in this field.
The Action Plan for 2026–2030 provides for a set of practical measures to implement the objectives of the Strategy, including the conduct of research and awareness-raising programs, capacity-building and advanced training for specialists, the development of analytical and monitoring capacities, as well as the strengthening of cooperation between state bodies, civil society institutions and religious organizations.
